TAKE OFF SERVICES

for

Pre-Construction Bids

We take your 2-D grading plan and, using specialized software, create a 3-D take-off. This take-off can easily be submitted to contractors when requesting bids and proposals, streamlining the RFP and RFQ process.

Our take-offs clearly show the proposed design and sub grade and the existing topography. All of which allows for cut and fill calculations for the amount of dirt to be removed or, conversely, any additional dirt requirements that may be necessary.

When you need to keep the bid process moving and reduce the amount of time your job is out to bid, trust Povey & Associates to provide accurate, timely take-offs.  All take-offs are electronically submitted to those team members you designate, getting your job out to bid faster. Our take-offs can be integrated with GPS layout systems for ease of use when the job is underway.

For each take-off, we provide:

Job Summary Reports

Volume Reports

Cut/Fill Grid Map

3D views of various types

We understand what it take to make a job run smoothly and come in on time and budget. We are here to help you meet those goals.  Give us a call or drop us an email and we will open a file and get you on your way to faster, more accurate construction bids.

GPS MODELS

for

Construction + Work In Progress

Now that you are through the bid process, we want the build portion of your job to run smoothly and efficiently.

To do that, we create an accurate 3D GPS model for grade control and provide alignments and line work.  Get your work done fast, accurate and done right the first time.

Call or email anytime.  We take pride in providing prompt, accurate real-time information for every job.

The modern, professional surveyor has a wide variety of tools from which to choose.   Surveying equipment such as GPS and the Trimble Robotic Total Station have created opportunities to increase productivity and change the surveying marketplace. Povey Land Sureyors can handle the project from conception to completion with on-demand engineering services coupled with a full range of surveying specialties.

The future of surveying using technology allows a smaller crew size to increase productivity and a firm to increase its profitability.

Povey & Associates can perform take-off work with AutoCad.  In addition, we have invested in and utilize world-class equipment such as Trimble R10 real-time GPS survey units and the Trimble Robotic Total Station.

Our deep field experience coupled with the Trimble equipment allows for real time, bi-directional data, reduces contractor downtime and increases safety standards.  Jobs can keep moving and critical report data is captured for later analysis.

TYPES OF SURVEYS

Boundary Survey

Boundary surveys establish the boundaries of a parcel using its legal description.  The survey involves setting or restoring monuments or markers at the corners or along the lines of the parcel, often in the form of aluminum capped iron rods in monuments in the ground, or nails set in concrete or asphalt. In the past, wooden posts, blazes in trees, piled stone corners or other types of monuments have also been used. A map or plat is then drafted from the field data to provide a representation of the parcel surveyed.

Improvement Survey

Improvement surveys show improvements made to the land. Surface features such as above-ground utilities, buildings, houses, fences, etc are shown.

Topographical (Geological) Survey

Topographical surveys detail geologically significant features and surface conditions on-site including rocks, ditches, hills, berms, outcroppings etc.

Title companies often use topo surveys to meet certain financial criteria.

ALTA Survey

A surveying standard jointly proposed by the American Land Title Association and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping that incorporates elements of the boundary survey, mortgage survey, and topographic survey. ALTA/ACSM surveys, frequently shortened to ALTA surveys, are often required for real estate transactions.

As-Built Survey

As-Built Surveys verify, for local and state boards (USA), that the work authorized was completed to the specifications designed by the engineer of record. As-Built Surveys are conducted several times during a construction project and at the completion of construction. This usually entails a complete survey of the site to confirm that the structures, utilities, and roadways proposed were built in the proper locations authorized in the Site Plan.
