Povey & Associates Land Surveyors began in 1922 with E. G. Mansfield.  Mr. Mansfield was deeply connected to Central Oregon.  He managed the Central Oregon Irrigation District for 30 years and was the Union Oil Representative. 

Randy Povey joined his grandfather as a part-time surveyor while still in high school.  Randy took over the reigns in 1979 and formed a partnership with Bill Bahrke. Both Randy and Bill are both Oregon Registered Professional Land Surveyors.

The strong foundation built by his grandfather, coupled with the new partnership, allowed Povey & Associates to prosper then survive downward economic cycles. Povey & Associates is the only local surveying firm to survive the depression of the 1980s. 

Povey & Associates Land Surveyors is now passing to a new generation through sons Paul and Roy Povey.  Paul and Roy have been instrumental in adding new technology to the wide breadth of knowledge gained by their father, partner and grandfather through field experience.  The original partnership was expanded in 2016 when both Paul and Roy were made partners in the firm.

Girded by wisdom and experience on one side, while clearly planning for the future on the other, Povey & Associates has the opportunity to continue its legacy for the next three generations.
